I think more young women need to watch your channel 🙂
True
Many young women aren’t concerned with being elegant
My thoughts exactly!
I will go to university soon then I will recommend this channel to my girl friends 👍
100% agree!!
I wear long nails, not cardi b long. Lol I used to be a nurse so hand washing is so important to me. I keep a clean nail brush and antibacterial soap at all times at every sink I use. I do my own nails so I don’t ever have to wait too long in between maintenance. I put a new set on every 2 weeks or less. It’s a preference to wear them long. And I don’t even care who don’t like it. It makes me so happy. I’m a retired Navy Veteran and wore short nails for years. I’m free now. Lmao😂Doing my nails keeps my ptsd/depression at bay ❤
But I love what you are teaching! These lessons need to be learned and heard!❤
You sound elegant to me, keep your nails and enjoy, that’s my advice. I believe that this video is just a guideline, not written in stone ❤
It may be a preference but long nails are not elegant no matter how you slice it
@@cathyscherer1051 to
I think this largely depends on culture. I also wear my nails semi-long and get compliments all the time by elegant people, men and women. Many respectable ladies and classy celebrities also wear long nails because it’s considered fashionable. I think it all comes down to tasteful designs and flattering colors. On the contrary, when I wear short nails nobody comments on it. In my culture very short nails can look juvenile like what teens would wear so they can sneakily go to school. It’s not the most attractive look for a young woman. I don’t think elegance is a one size fits all and most content I see online mostly cover western idea of elegance.
I work in Research and wear my nails semi-long. I’m with you Sis, and thank you for your service to our country:)
I have tattoos but I am sophisticated and refined inside and out. I’m not getting rid of them and if someone can’t accept my tattoos, then they are not for me.
I started my elegance journey after getting quite some tattoos on my arm. Even though they might not fit a 100% to my new style, their message is so important to my life, that I would never want to get rid of them.
@@anjaglivar4284You missed what was said. Tats are very much a personal message. But, too many takes away from that personal statement and just becomes a loud distraction.
@@fourthgirl I don’t think I missed it at all 🙂 She is definitively right that too much is taking away from elegance and I have quite many tattoos on one arm. But nonetheless I decided to keep them since the message of kindness towards all beings is such an important one (I stand up for animal rights and have many of the animals that I rescued from slaughter tattooed on).
I started to dress modestly and wanting to be elegant after I made those. Even if they are distractive and not too elegant since I have many, I’ll keep them and not laser them away. But that’s the beauty of those videos; we can take what fits to us and use it to elevate ourselves, and we can leave what does not suit our preference and go on. I absolutely loved the overall video and message 😉
Good for you.” There is nothing more elegant than being who you are.
Absolutely. I think the younger generations are not interested in disappearing into the background. And that’s ok. Be you- whether that is a logo billboard or disappearing into the background and everything in between.
I am 13 and I already am learning alot form you
Keep on learning darling
So proud of you
Wow! That’s awesome. Keep it up!
Same
You can also be elegant in your natural (no added hair no makeup) representation matter knowing that you dont have to look like someone else in order for you to be deemed a elegant woman and you can feel comfortable in your own skin matter. Especially for melanated women.
I agree !
I’m not a fan of make up and I hope and work towards maintaining an elegant look while still staying 💯 natural
Have you ever thought why some women don’t like wearing makeup? It can be deeper than that (impostor syndrom, afraid of receiving compliments, afraid of shining…)
Absolutely!
Yes specially some chemicals in make up are unhealthy
@iremey i so agree
Modesty. There’s a word. I wish more teen/young women find your channel. Great advice here!💝
modesty can be both elegant and sexy if done properly. Confidence is the main accessory. ppl dont know how to leave stuff to the imagination anymore lol
im a teen just 14 and its helped me so much on my femininity and also modesty walk 🙏🏾🙏🏾
Modesty is load of bullshit its just a man made garage
I concur!
It would be great if more teen girls would find this channel; but at the same time, it’s depressing at how many moms and grand moms are failing at their job of teaching girls that their worth is not in cheap attention, but found in a relationship with God and having self-respect & respect for others.
“Your nails should look like that of a human being and not a grizzly bear”, I cracked up😂
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣😭😭😭
😂😂
Me too 😂😂😂
The comment I’m looking for.😂😂😂
Total shade
Nothing decreases the SHINE of a woman who knows her worth. ✨
Lol. This is wrong !
Not true. Many rude, obnoxious women behave that way because “they know their worth.” Many true ladies go unnoticed because their way of dressing makes them blend into the background.
🔥🔥🔥
@@edennis8578 no, I didn’t mean worth that way at all. I meant a deep peace within you knowing your worth as a human being & in particular as a woman. When this happens, although we all have our weaknesses ect, it goes hand in hand with humility & grace
@@ladyfrance3 how so?
1)wearing too many logos on your outfit
2)T shirt with lots graphics and inscription
3)wearing lots of bright color
4)Your make up is poorly done
5)Dirty accessories
6)wrinkle clothing
7)Too much skin
8)oversize or undersize clothing
9)your nails are too long and too colorful
10)excessive jewelry
11)your underwear shows through your clothes
12)Bizarre hair color or hair style
13)Too many piercing and tattoos
Awesome. Thank you.
Thank you so much!
Thank you! Was hoping someone did this.
Thanks for making it snappy
I was looking for this 😂thanks
THANK YOU – I love to see content creators cut through the “don’t judge me” nonsense. Anna Bey, The Feminine Fancy, Olivia B, Freddy My Love, and Woman of Elegance all understand that how you present yourself to the world matters, it brings you more respect and opportunities. If you want to be taken seriously at school, at work (be it just a part-time job or in your full-time profession), or on the dating scene, then you need to dress the part. All of these tips make sense and every woman can apply them in her everyday life.
Yes. However, there is a difference between recognising that that is the case, and endorsing it. The other people aren’t unaware of how society perceives them; they are actively working to dismantle those stereotypes by literally telling people not to judge
Absolutely!
P😊ppp
That’s still judgement though. You can acknowledge that there’s a time and place for certain outfits without judging those around you for the way they choose to dress themselves. We can all agree you should look professional at your job, but that doesn’t mean you have to judge the people who don’t. It’s just about minding your business
Anna Bey is definitely not an expert on this subject-matter. Her fake over plumped lips are appalling taste and she bangs on about subjects she doesn’t know much about. The kind of clothes she goes for are horrible knits and cheap imitations. She’s appalling.
Elegance doesn’t mean that you have to look dull. It simply means to tone down a bit and be well groomed. Some of these things are common sense and some you speak are not unacceptable. I wear any length nails I want! However they are not loud colors or designs, usually a neutral or one color on every nail. I’ve always kept my nails VERY clean, I use a brush underneath EVERY TIME I wash my hands! I love quiet luxury and monochromatic outfits, but I LOVE a pop of color! Also, I have 2 tattoos one can be seen and one can’t. Both are tasteful. So I just think elegance can be interpreted and expressed many ways. Good video
Amen!!
It’s *her* opinion on *her* channel. Yes, you can wear what you want on your nails. She isn’t saying you specifically should not.
She doesn’t follow the trend and that’s her choice. A lot of us feel this way, but we get drowned out by the flashiness in others and get called plain Janes by other women aka ” look dull”.
Let her have the space to speak her viewpoints and learn to not take others’ opinions so personally. If you were really confident that you are classy and elegant, you wouldn’t be so much in your feels about her giving her opinion.
what would be an example of a tasteful tattoo?
My nails have been long since 89 its not a trend. I think short nails look manly. To each their own.
I’m guilty of the grizzly nails but IMO my hands are small so the nails kinda counter that. But I keep them clean and neutral colors or French and believe it people love them!
My mom raised me with some of these tips! Especially ironing 😭😭 I used to iron my school uniform for the week every Sunday, even jeans 😭😭. But it taught me how important it is to have clean and wrinkle free items.
YEP. I even iron t-shirts. People act like t-shirts don’t get wrinkled. Lol. I can NOT leave the house wearing wrinkled clothes!
I have 1 tattoo, on my right forearm. I got it when I was 60, and I haven’t regretted it at all. People can dislike them; that’s their right. I am not planning on covering my body with tats.
The key is wearing clothes, makeup, and accessories that ADD and ENHANCE who you are, not take away. You control it. It doesn’t control you. And watch the way you carry yourself. Beauty and elegance comes from within.🌷
I love silver and gold jewellery I hate fake jewellery I have more rings than my fingers can wear I’m obsessed silver earrings chains bangle anklet I even bought silver jewelry for my baby I
I totally agree with all thirteen rules to looking good. Beauty and elegance come from within.
God bless you.
❤
I literally switch my looks everyday. 1 day i look very classy and elegant. Next day i look afro punk. One day i look like a tired successful salon spa owner, morher of 4 under 12, and wife. It just really depends on the day and occasion 😅. I do like your advice of looking kempt no matter what. I cam share the joy in that. 😊 Great video.
I just graduated from highschool and will start studying law in a few months. These videos actually help me a lot since I’ve struggled with my femininity for a very long time and used to cover my body with men’s clothing, although I have a very petite body. Thank you so much for giving me and many other women the chance to embrace elegance!
She studied Law as well. 🙂
Best of luck in your. Future endeavors ❤
Congratulations on your high school graduation.
Good luck in with your studies. I’m glad to hear you have discovered this channel and is learning from it. I am learning a lot from Woman of Elegance channel as well, even as a feminine woman. I love watching and learning.
As a mature woman, I have been horrified at some of the outfits, hairstyles and outlandish nails I’ve seen on mostly younger women. I am glad you are offering this advice. It is much needed. I hope your message reaches the intended audience.
Yessssss ma’am intended audience is correct !!
❤
I’m artistic and I’m from the Caribbean so I love colour and splashes of it 😂 but I think women should also find their personal style and individualize their look; “elegant” does not have to mean that all women look the same but this advice about the essentials is excellent! This is more about daily dress etiquette than just “elegance” per se
Thank you for this. I am artistic woman and my clothes reflect that but I carry myself with much elegance.
@@renewingmyminddaily2400that is true I have a teen who is very artistic but I do tell her we are all human beings and people see you before they know you. That good old saying 1st impressions are lasting ones. But I am all for colors in a more tasteful way. People judge you before they know you unfortunately.
I completely AGREE!!! I love color too, ALL of them!! Brilliant brights, soft pastels, muted shades, deep rich tones, neutrals and vibrant colors. Colors MAKE a statement 💯 💖💃
I’m from the Caribbean as well, and I had a similar thought.
Now this is a woman I would DEFINITELY take advice from. Her makeup is on point. Face and neck SAME COLOR/HUE. More of a natural look vs unnatural and Elvira look. No “baby hairs” foolishness etc. Great job all around. Love this!!
❤
I’m 43 and make good money, I’m going to wear whatever clothes I want to wear. Looking cheap keeps me from getting robbed or people asking me for money.😂
