Yesterday I heard strange sounds coming from my car while driving. I went to the shop and all 4 tires were completely shot. Had to replace them $700 later I am grateful I didn’t have to use a credit card 🙏 I didn’t have much saved … less than $5k
And i feel like I need to increase my emergency fund!! What if there was something bigger or more expensive?? How much would you recommend??
I would advise trying to save more if possible. Especially in this economy, at least 6-9 months emergency savings for your core expenses and anything else that might come up (i.e. rent/mortgage, utilities, food, etc). I’ve cut back on spending on my wants and focus more on spending on my needs. I reduced eating out to once or twice a month with different friends. I also cut back on other nonsense spending and track my spending as well. Add more each month or payday even if it’s only $20-$30, every penny counts .
This is very good and informative. I find myself not as anxious because I have set up some funds on the side, and it brings great soul comfort in knowing that it is there. Thank you. ❤
This is such good sound advice. I had to use my emergency saving during the pandemic. Which I was glad I had. I am now rebuilding myself & my saving again.
