What is the best way to remove Pubic Hair?| Dr Anjali Kumar | Maitri

Since centuries, people have been trying different ways to groom their pubes.

You've probably heard that pubic hair is "unsanitary or unhygienic "That, however, is absolutely incorrect! You don’t have to remove pubic hair for any health, hygiene or medical reasons. Neither should anyone else make you feel bad about your looks down there.

Whether to remove or not, how to do it and what precautions to take, lets discuss all this in today's video

There is no one-size-fits-all approach to dealing with pubic hair. You can leave it as it is, let it grow, shave it, wax it, trim it, or do something completely different with it—the option is completely yours! .Just be careful and safe.

    • @panktiparikh457 says:

Mam, can you make a video about OBGY an a career option. There is just one thing associated with this branch ie. inconvenient working hours. But I’m sure there are many rewarding aspects as well. Would be a great help for budding doctors.

    • @pratikshakar1945 says:

@maitri..there is a query… In shaving, the hair growth later becomes thick n it grows on a extra patch of skin the next time as well.. how to solve this issue?

    • @amiablehacker says:

@@pratikshakar1945 that’s a myth. Hair does not become thicker after shaving.

  • @shivangi1523 says:

The misconception around the women body hair needs to be cleared and I’m thankful to you Mam for clearing this whole thing out. Because there are still many girls out there who think pubic hair are unhygienic and need to be removed regularly even though it ends up harming them.
It should be entirely a women’s decision on what she wants to do with her body.

My parents force me to remove my body hair, and I get in trouble if I don’t. I plan to let at least my leg hair just be there once I’m out of the house

    • @shivangi1523 says:

@@dxrk_rxign ohh I’m sorry to hear that.. No parents have a right to do this with thier child. But girl you do you don’t listen to people who have negative impact on you or your mental health even if it’s your parents. My mother used to do that alot and i just made her watch a YouTube video on this entire thing it’s been 6 years since she asked me to remove my body hair it’s my decision now entirely. I advise you to do the same if possible. Talk to your parents.

    • @dxrk_rxign says:

@@shivangi1523 I can try, although they’re very degrading and abusive when it comes to stuff like this. Even if I showed them a certified person saying stuff, they don’t listen and force me to do it anyway. But I’ll try my best

    Dear Ma’am
I am so glad that you are here for us.
Your videos are very helpful. As a 20 year old I have very limited knowledge of women’s health. And this scares me when I imagine women living in rural areas of India being totally deprived of such knowledge.
Thank you so much for your work.
Hope the knowledge spreads to all women regardless of their backgrounds.

I once had an unpleasant experience with a gynaec who scolded me for not keeping the area shaved and clean, making me feel very uncomfortable though I believed that it is not necessary.. thank you for sharing this information with many of us to clarify that being clean there is enough and not required to be clean shaven.. thank you doctor! 😊

    • @akapam57 says:

As a laser engineer for over 43 years working with medical lasers I would go with 810 Diode or 1064 YAG or 755 Alexandrite. It all depends on skin tone 1-7 skin type and how much of a “sting” you can tolerate.

  • @para8418 says:

As a growing teenager, I was told that pubic hair down there is normal but is meant to be removed from time to time for maintaining hygiene. This video totally changed my perception and I will make sure that I follow the instructions given by you. Thank you for such an informative video, it helped a lot.

    • @qaz456 says:

      Same here !
Even I use to think that being hairless down their everytime is necessary but after this I have a pov :-
      Keep private area clean dry
But remove during periods so that blood doesn’t keep stuck there!
But don’t wear too tight clothes either be it no hair or hair down there it feels so uncomfortable and friction is more uncomfortable!
