I’m sharing some key tips on how to save $10k over the next 12 months! Not earning enough? Are there ways in which you can work to increase your income in order to save more? Is 12 months a stretch? This video also discusses creating a 24-month plan if 12 months isn’t realistic for you!

if you feel overwhelmed about how to save money, you’re not alone. While some may think saving money is relatively straightforward, one in five Americans have nothing saved at all. So even though spending money is arguably more exciting, you should consider saving money a priority. And there are plenty of ways to save money that don’t involve making sacrifices, either. Sometimes the best way to start saving money is simply to become more aware of your finances and spending habits.
Yes just in time I’m actually working toward this goal, thank you Bola!
This is so crazy, i just calculated my savings and it’s just over 9k and i was calculating when I’ll get to 10k. This is the most I’ve saved in a year and I only make 35k. I rent out an extra room in my home, i save the money i used to pay for car note once i paid off my car, and I save the gas money i used to use to before covid. Plus i saved my stimulus check.
Amazing!!! Well done!
Great!
Good for you!!!!
Wow, great job!
Awesome 👏 like Bola said, you don’t need to earn a lot to make substantial savings 😊
When I opened a separate account that was not “immediately” accessible (online/no debit card attached to it) my savings grew sooooo much more. Great video!
That’s a great trick that I often tell people to use!
What online savings account?
I came up with a plan back in Jan ’20 to save $100 per paycheck. It’s coming along nicely with saving the economic check. Now I’ve started setting aside $125 to save quicker. Thank you for your videos.
Congrats – keep up the great work!
Opening a separate account helped me build my emergency fund. These are great actionable tips!
Love your background and your lipstick! Such great advice especially the first suggestion. I have been finding ways to shave money so that I will have less bills. No cable only 3 subscription app services. Prepaid phone service (bought an iPhone 6 out right a couple of years ago and won’t change anytime soon). My biggest bill was eating in so I challenged myself to two months (Aug and Sept) of no ordering in only groceries. Been saving so much money. Gotta pay student loans and am taking advantage of the zero interest!
I feel so overwhelmed by this. I did start this wk writing down everything I spent money on.
I’m working on saving a 20% home down payment over the next few years and have decided to save $10k per year so I can still build my emergency fund at the same time. I have 2 friends that’s on their financial journey, so we are each other’s accountability partners, I read financial books, watch financial videos, and listen to podcasts. I’m determined to stay moving towards my financial goals.
Thank you this sounds goiod
This is my goal I already have 1,000 saved in a CD 9k more to go I know I can do it.
I save $300-$500 a week of my salary. Saving is a good thing. And if you don’t have any aim or goal, it’s hard to save. One must have a goal that burns like fire in one’s bones for one to save. You share one of THE most important concepts in personal finance. P.S: I learnt about saving from a lady too😀
I saved 10 thousand dollars this year by just not looking at my bank account & quitting online shopping. Bills were on autopay and I was Stevie wonder the rest of the month. Also took my lunch to work instead of eating out
I’m not a girl, but I find this advice most useful for a 60 year old male starting from scratch after the loss of my mother a few years ago. I’m just now seeing light at the end of the tunnel. This is great advice considering $10,000 is my goal for 2022. Thank you!
The night before payday, I transfer everything in my checking account to my savings account before my check hits.
I love this tip! I may try this 👍🏽
I like your information because I did something similar when I was saving up for my multifamily property. I would save $350 every two weeks so $700 a month. If I had extra I would save more. If I couldn’t do the $700. I at least made sure it was $350. Eventually I was able to get to $20k and used it for my down payment. I don’t have that job anymore unfortunately and make a lot less but now I’m a landlord and my tenant pays most of my mortgage in the upstairs unit.
I’m trying again to clear off my debt again and save for something else big 🙏🏾 🤞🏾. It feels harder to do this time now that I already purchased the property. But your video was motivating, thx.
That’s what’s up, I want to do the same thing you did, what city and state did you purchase your multi family home? Also was it a duplex?
My wise mama tells me all of the time, “Baby, it ain’t what you make, it’s what you do with it!”
Thank you so much for this! Just gives me confirmation that I have been on track and feeding my mental/physical/spiritual with the right stuff.
Next month Apr ‘22, I will have reached my 10k goal. I’ve been saving now already a year. So by the end of this year, with putting 1k aside a month, I will be at 18k.
It’s so close to 20k, so my OCD kicks in when it comes to that, so I will try my best to put any extra with it to get closer to the 20k.
I just became a sub! Anything that edifies my life and growth, I’m all for it.
Again, thank you for your meaningful content! God Bless you and yours.🥰
Finally someone who actually breaks it down into details. That’s how you know she really cares about the people she’s teaching too unlike most people who don’t give true facts
Bola, I did it! Your advice to break down into chunks really helped the mental of it. I reached my goal in 11 months. I plan to do it again for 2023. I have a spending fast coming up for January. Woo hoo!
So proud of you. well done. Would you mind sharing what specific steps you took that made this possible? We are so happy that you met your goal.
